4-Day Rwanda Gorillas Trekking Safari

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to the Hotel for Dinner and Overnight

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and be transferred by your guide who will later transfer you to your booked accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay. You will have a detailed briefing on your booked tour.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After your relaxed morning breakfast, enriched with an African touch, check out of the hotel and head for an amazing city tour of Kigali, drive to Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, where over 256000 victims of the Rwandan genocide of 1994, were laid to rest as a sign of respect to their bodies. You will later visit kimironko local market, old and new kigali city, after lunch drive off to Volcanoes National Park, have stop overs to take some beautiful photos and have a great view of the rolling landscape. You will relax at your lodge and prepare for your next day gorilla trekking activity. You will spend the entire evening at the lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Village Visit

After an early morning breakfast, get all your gorilla gears set and boots on and ready for then prepare for the briefing from the Rwanda’s officials and have a short briefing before and thereafter drive to the trekking starting point and entering into the jungle to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes.

On a gorilla safari a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent and sunscreen and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movement of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience in Rwanda, you will have an informative memorable experience in life. We’ll take you to Ibyiwacu cultural village to experience the unique culture of Rwandese. Later, drive back to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4: Golden Monkeys Trekking and Departure

Today after your warm early morning breakfast, you will be picked by our safari driver guide who will transfer you back to the park headquarters for a briefing. You’ll start off you day golden monkey trekking in search of these primates in the jungle. Just like the gorilla trekking experience, the same applies to golden monkey trekking though it’s not as hectic as gorilla trekking. You will later return to the lodge for lunch and then transfer to Kigali International airport for your departure.
