DAY 1: TRANSFER TO NAIROBI
When you arrive in Kenya at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your guide will meet you and bring you to your Nairobi hotel. If time allows, you will embark on a brief city tour, visiting sights such as the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Nairobi National Park, and many more. In the evening, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 2: TRANSFER TO AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at your Nairobi hotel, you will be picked up by your guide and driven to Amboseli National Park, Kenya’s second most popular game-watching safari location. Amboseli National Park is a picturesque site with a stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s largest free-standing peak.
When you arrive at the park, you will check into your lodge for lunch and rest for a little before heading out on an afternoon game drive to see vast herds of elephants, lions, cape buffaloes, and other animals. Later, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 3: FULL DAY IN AMBOSELI
After enjoying your morning breakfast, you will embark on your full-day game drive leaving the lodge with a packed lunch. During your ride expect to see animals like buffalos, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles, elephants, elands, lions, leopards, and many others. After your full-day game viewing you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 4: TRANSFER TO SAMBURU NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and go on an en-route game drive as you depart Amboseli National Park and begin your trip to Samburu National Reserve, a wildlife refuge that is home to a variety of animal species, including the Big Five (lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards and rhinos). This reserve also has Maasai and reticulated giraffes, hippos, plain zebras, Grevy’s zebra, Aardwolf, Aardvark, and many more creatures.
When you arrive at the reserve, you will check into your lodge for lunch and then relax for a little before going on an afternoon wildlife drive where you will see a variety of animals. After the adventure, you will return to your lodge for supper and an overnight stay.
DAY 5: FULL DAY IN SAMBURU NATIONAL PARK
After early breakfast at your lodge, you will leave for the reserve with your packed lunch for a full day of game drive on morning and afternoon game drives, on these game drives offer a chance to explore the reserve and watch many animals and birds residing in the reserve.
Expect to witness lions, leopards, hippos, giraffes, elephants, African hares, zebras, giraffes, and birds such as Abdim’s Stork. You will enjoy a picnic-style meal set at any of the picnic locations in the reserve for lunch, and then you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 6: TRANSFER TO MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and go to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most popular animal-viewing location. You’ll arrive at the reserve in time for lunch, which you’ll have at your lodge after checking in, before resting up for an evening wildlife drive. Using a spotlight, you will be able to observe numerous nocturnal species and predators like as lions, leopards, cheetahs, and African dogs during the nighttime game drive. After the adventure, you will return to your lodge for supper and an overnight stay.
DAY 7: MORNING AND AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE
You will get up at the crack of dawn and go to the reserve for an early morning wildlife drive, where you will see lions, leopards, elephants, wildebeests, gazelles, elands, African dogs, and cheetahs while they are just waking up. You will also see a stunning dawn over the rolling plains of the Maasai Mara. After the wildlife drive, you will return to your lodge for a late breakfast and to wait for lunch. After lunch, you will return to the reserve for an afternoon game drive across the reserve’s many sections.
In the evening, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 8: TRANSFER BACK TO NAIROBI
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and head for Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your trip home.
